About Me

The reason that I wanted to be a nurse was to comfort and give good care to people who need it. I want my patients to be happy, even though I know this can be a hard time in their lives. I always like to dress my patients nicely, this brightens their day. I am compassionate; I always have a smile on my face and people like to work with me. I have a good sense of humor and I am trustworthy. In my spare time I love to read, go to movies, travel, and I always want to be with my family.

Recommendations

" Joan has provided loving care for my mother over the past year. My mother is 89 and has had a stroke that left her partly paralyzed but with full mental facilities. She is a resident at a facility in New York. Joan has worked 12-hour shifts several days a week to assist in her care. Joan has been extremely attentive to my mother's needs at all times and has provided personal assistance at a very high level. My mother is always well groomed and well dressed. She has told me many times that she is very pleased with Joan. I find Joan to be an experienced Certified Nursing Aide. She is always calm, courteous and helpful. She knows what to do and how to communicate her concerns to the facility staff. I can highly recommend her to anyone seeking excellence in personal care."

" Joan was fantastic. She cared for my mom from 2011 until she passed away two months ago. My mother had Alzheimer's and Joan really took great care of her. Joan would work with her and try to get her to do things. She would play with her and get her to move. Whenever my mom would have to go somewhere, Joan would get her in the car. When my mom would get sick, she would tell me what was wrong and then the doctor would always say the issue was exactly what Joan had said. She was with my mom all day until she went to bed at night. She bathed her, dressed her, and fed her. Whatever my mom needed, she would do. I hope I never get sick, but if I do, I want Joan to take care of me."
