About Me

I like to take care of people and make their life easier. I can do cooking, feeding, dressing, bathing, errands, shopping, and cleaning. I like to stay home and take care of things, and I'm very organized. I'm very reliable; you can always count on me. As a person, I'm very kind. That is important. Plus, I like to think that I am a good problem solver and I work hard at everything that I do. My training in my country is as an engineer and I have a Master's degree. I love to play the piano, so if you have one and you enjoy music, I would love to play for you or your loved one. I normally go out with my clients and we socialize together if they are able to leave the house. I like to drive and take my clients wherever they want to go. I love to listen to 'easy listening' type of music. In my spare time, I also really love to play dominoes and backgammon.

" After my father-in-law passed away from complications from open heart surgery, Manana became my mother-in law's live-in caregiver. I can not say enough wonderful things about Manana. She is extremely intelligent, forward thinking, kind, and compassionate. Manana was very flexible, working around our complicated schedules. My mother-in-law was on a pureed diet, could no longer use the stairs, and was uncomfortable living on her own. It was very difficult for my mother-in-law to leave the house, but Manana was willing to take her anywhere for a change of scenery. We have had many caregivers, but Manana stands out as one of the best. She helped my mother-in-law with her exercises and played games with her, to help her memory. Manana is a selfless caregiver and anyone would be fortunate to have her."

" Manana has cared for our mother for over 9 years. Mom suffered from Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. Except for her few days off monthly, Manana was with Mom 24/7. She not only cared for her physical and emotional needs but cooked her meals, cleaned the home, and did her laundry. When weather allowed, Mom enjoyed the walks and eventual wheelchair rides in the park with Manana. Manana's piano playing for Mom and Mom's grandchildren filled many pleasant hours. Over the years, as her condition worsened, Manana was there for Mom's every need, day or night. We are convinced that Manana's loving care kept Mom alive for longer than anyone else or any facility could have done. Near the end of Mom's life, the hospice nurse could not believe how well cared for Mom had been for after being bedridden for so many months. Because of her strength, caring, trustworthiness and most of all her loving care for our mother, Manana has become part of our family. We are blessed to have found her."
